Who We Are

The Gulf 7 Pediatric Disaster Network (G7) is one of three national Pediatric Disaster Care Centers of Excellence working to improve care for children across the disaster cycle spectrum of mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.

With our network of leading healthcare professionals, clinicians, educators, and emergency medical services, we provide a multi-pronged approach to ensuring nearly 7 million children in the Gulf Coast region have access to the medical care they need in a crisis –  regardless of their ability to pay.

What We Do

G7 brings together private and public entities including regional healthcare coalitions, public health and emergency managers, and national organizations like the American Academy of Pediatrics, Emergency Nurses Association, and American College of Emergency Physicians. We aim to develop best practices around disaster preparedness and response and to share these practices at the local, state, and regional levels.

By enhancing coordination mechanisms and incorporating relevant initiatives like telemedicine, evidence-based clinical guidelines, simulation education, drill scenario expertise, and special care units, we are building a more secure future for children nationwide.

Our Mission

We’re building a collaborative network of healthcare providers committed to developing and implementing best practices and resources for children and families in the Gulf Coast region.

Our Vision

We’re working for a future where all healthcare providers have the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to provide exceptional care to children and families affected by disasters.

Dedicated to Improving Pediatric Disaster Preparedness and Response

Pediatric Disaster Centers of Excellence train healthcare professionals, support families, and coordinate with hospitals and caregivers at local, state, regional, and tribal levels. Our expertise spans the disaster cycle—mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery—in areas affecting millions of children.

Together, we're establishing a network to educate and assist during crises, whether you're a healthcare professional seeking to make an impact, or a parent protecting your family.
