Trauma and Grief Component Therapy for Adolescents (TGCTA) in the Aftermath of Natural Disasters
The Gulf 7 Pediatric Disaster Network (G7) is excited to host a virtual, two-day training in TGCTA, taught by experts from the Lucine Center for Trauma and Grief.
What is TGCTA?
TGCTA is a manualized, evidence-based, assessment-driven intervention for adolescents ages 11-18 who have been exposed to trauma, bereavement, and/or traumatic losses.
Originally designed for small-group settings, TGCTA can also be used effectively in individual treatment in a variety of different settings.
TGCTA is designed to reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress, depression, suicide risk, unhelpful grief reactions, school problems, and disruptive or violent behavior.
TGCTA is a modularized intervention that can be flexibly tailored to meet the needs of youth.
Who Should Attend?
School, hospital, and community-based counselors, therapists, social workers, psychologists and other mental health professionals who provide services to adolescents (ages 11 and up) are invited to register for this training.
What does it cost?
The course is free for all attendees.
How do I register?
