Training Healthcare Professionals
G7’s Pediatric Preparedness for the Healthcare Professional course
G7 provides healthcare professionals with practical education and training designed to strengthen pediatric disaster readiness. Since 2023, G7 has hosted 32 Pediatric Preparedness for the Healthcare Professional (PPHP) Courses, reaching more than 700 healthcare professionals across the region.
This 2-day, in-person course helps professionals build the knowledge and confidence needed to care for children during disasters, mass casualty incidents, public health emergencies, and other high-impact events.

Turning Preparedness Into Practice
G7’s Regional Disaster Exercises
Preparedness requires more than knowledge—it requires practice.
G7 has developed and conducted 19 Pediatric Disaster Exercises throughout our region, designed to help healthcare professionals and response partners apply pediatric disaster preparedness principles in realistic scenarios. These exercises support collaboration, identify gaps, and help organizations strengthen their response before an emergency occurs.

In 2023, G7 conducted a full-scale functional exercise with live simulated patients, 5 in-person functional tabletop exercises, and 1 in-person workshop.

In 2024, G7 conducted 6 in-person functional tabletop exercises and 1 functional exercise with live simulated patients throughout our region.

In 2025, G7 conducted a full-scale functional exercise with live simulated patients, 5 in-person functional tabletop exercises, and 1 exercise workshop.

Empowering Families
Children and families are an essential part of disaster preparedness. G7 has developed more than 15 disaster preparedness resources specifically for families, making preparedness information accessible, practical, and easy to use.
From emergency planning and severe weather preparedness to resources designed to help families navigate emergencies, these tools help families take meaningful steps toward being prepared.
G7 is committed to making pediatric disaster preparedness accessible beyond the healthcare setting. Our family-centered resources provide parents, caregivers, and communities with practical information to help them prepare for emergencies and protect children. From July 2025 through August 2026, the G7 Family Resources page received 569 page views, demonstrating growing engagement with family-focused preparedness information.

G7's digital presence continues to grow, allowing pediatric disaster preparedness information to reach more healthcare professionals, families, and community partners. G7's reach extends beyond the United States, with website visitors accessing pediatric disaster preparedness resources from other countries across
the globe.
The G7 website averages approximately 957 page views per month.
These numbers represent more than digital growth—they reflect an expanding audience for pediatric disaster preparedness education and resources.
